Almond milk is not a new concept to most of us. Hitting our grocery store shelves in 2011, almond milk provided a new option for vegans and people who are intolerant to dairy. Surpassing the sales of soy milk in 2013, it became America’s #1 choice for nondairy milk. Containing over 10 beneficial minerals and vitamins, there is no reason almond milk should not be on your grocery list!

First, soak your almonds in water and let sit over for 8 hours or boil for 8 minutes. (Depending on how much time you have)

Then drain the almonds, add to a blender or food processor with 4.5 cups of water. Blend until almost smooth.

Using a cheesecloth, pour in the blended almond mixture and squeeze all of the liquid out into a jar with a lid.

Once the almond milk has been strained, add cinnamon and vanilla! Other variants you can add are turmeric, cayenne, or ginger! Twist the lid on and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Delicious!
