Healthy 21 Approved Mayo Recipe

Easy as 1-2-3 Mayo! 

Mayonnaise is a classic condiment, but when purchased at the store it can be full of fat and one serving can be more than 50% of your daily recommended sodium intake. Homemade mayo is the easiest condiment to make, just a few household ingredients and you can have the base of many great recipes!


  • 1 Egg
  • ½ teaspoon of Himalayan pink sea salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon of mustard powder
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 ⅓ cup of olive oil (Substitute for avocado oil)


  1. Start by getting your immersion blender ready
  2. In a tall jar, add the all of your ingredients
  3. Starting with your immersion blender at the bottom of the jar, very slowly start to bring the blender up. Blending slower helps the mayo thicken along the way.
  4. Once all of your ingredients are blended, pop a lid on the jar and store in the fridge for up to two weeks!

Perfect for a chicken salad with organic chicken, grapes, celery and sliced almonds  😋
